Is it really August already?

I don't know if its because I'm now under 90 days away from turning 40, or if its just that life has been so busy, but I can't believe we are now in August already, another year over half way gone.

All my fabulous Danielle V2.0 ideas long gone! Well ok, not all completely gone, perhaps modified is probably more the way of the world :)

Amazing isn't it how you can justify just about anything if you try hard enough!

Work has been the major focus of my life, but I say that not in a bad way, but in an incredibly good one. The last 18 months have seen me learn so much. I've been promoted, had the opportunity to show case my skills on a larger scale, I've developed some incredibly well received learning interventions and have been recognised by my peers for my level of expertise.

Its been a chance to learn from my amazing boss and mentor and a chance to take my creativity to a whole new level.

Sadly, my novel and my blog here have been neglected as I've honed my business skills, but I was also off the air for quite a few months when my computer died, and you can only do so much with an iPhone!

My creativity though outside of my usual job has been re-ignited again. Whilst I'm not likely going to get to my writing course before the end of the year, I'm keeping on with what I've currently written, I'm writing an exclusively L&D Blog for both myself and my industry colleagues, but most importantly I'm just doing the things I love to do, writing about the things that make me passionate - whether that passion is positive or negative and I'm exploring what it is that makes up me!

I'm still fat as a house but I'm realistic to know that the weight isn't going to fall off without my own efforts of sticking to my 90/10 rule nor actually making it to the gym, but I'm feeling tired and in need of the physical boost, so I'm back in the right mindset again and have lost a couple of kilos, so I'm confident I'm back on track.  Of course when you see the blogs I'm about to post in relation to the foodie tour we completed at Easter in Melbourne, or the Master Classes I'm doing over the next 2 months at top Sydney eateries you'll understand!!!
